My library of what my $105,000 stamped concrete patio looks like up close.

These are actual photos and videos of work done in the Summer of 2022.

If you're in NEPA and considering a stamped concrete project, I invite you to stop by to see this work up close before you sign anything.

The 2 main issues are cracking and pitting. With the cracking issue divided between cracks in the steps, edges and ledge, vs. cracks throughout the flat areas which started out very fine, but are now joining together to cause larger sections of damage.

Legend: Yellow tape on blue indicates cracks developed in 2022 and originally reported to contractor
Blue tape indicates those cracks that developed or expanded in 2023/2024
Orange tape on blue are new cracks that developed in 2025. Eventually, as seen in the video, there are now so many, it became impossible to mark them all as they continue to grow in number and size, as they join together to form larger cracks.

Cracks:
While some of the steps video may be seem repetitive or overlapping, for the most part these are all individual cracks, as I am walking north and covering about 250 linear feet of steps.
It also seems cracks from the lower step are roughly lining up with cracks in the upper step. Not sure if that is coincidence or meaningful.
  01. 1st and middle step starting at bilco door moving north
  02. 1st and middle step continuing north toward curve
  03. 1st and middle step around curve and toward house

  04. around pool from entrance walking CC south

  05. walking from rock garden toward walkway

  06. top step around rear deck from bilco around curve and west to house

  07. I love when they say "they're just surface cracks". Cracks don't get smaller - they join together to make bigger cracks and then corrupt the entire surface. Here are just a few examples, but this is pretty much everywhere.
